On March 3rd, 2016, RID students took to the Madrid Stage with other local dance studios for Capezio Dance Day in Woodland Hills. Our girls danced their hearts out while strengthening our dance community and working with others to put on a fantastic show. Congratulations girls, we’re proud of your teamwork and dedication!
Dance Informa American Edition recently interviewed RID Teachers Dana Alexa and Mett Steffania on their use of social media. We always knew these trend creators were influential and we couldn’t be more proud! Check out the article here!
February 2016 brought happy news to the Reflections family! Our RID West Company competed at Kids Artistic Review in Redondo Beach, bringing home double platinums and scoring Highest Overall in almost every category in which they competed, including solo ages 13 and 14, large group age 12 and small group age 14. Congratulations RID West!
Reflections staff and students continue the fight to cure Multiple Sclerosis! After students performed at a successful Beat MS Dance Walk on September 12, RID hip hop teachers Dana Alexa and Matt Steffanina kept the cause alive by teaching a class where 100% of donations went to the National MS Society on the 14th. Join us as Reflections continues to Dance For A Cure! Stay tuned for upcoming events or donate at http://main.
Reflections students and staff are ecstatic to once again take part in the Beat MS Dance Walk this Saturday, September 12 at Palisades Charter High School. The Beat Dance Tour and the National MS Society, along with event co-chairs Courtney Galiano (of So You Think You Can Dance fame) and Philip Byron bring together artists, dancers and people who want to do something about MS. Reflections has participated in the Dance Walk since it began in 2012, during which time we’ve helped raise $115,000 to help cure Multiple Sclerosis. This marks the third year of the Dance Walk, and so far the Reflections team has already raised nearly $6,000! The top fundraising group for the event, Reflections students will perform at approximately 11:00 AM and will enjoy the shade of a private tent throughout the event. Join us and support an important cause while dancing with your favorite stars from So You Think You Can Dance, ABDC and more!

July was a good month for Reflections dancers! Reflections West competed at the Kids Artistic Revue National Dance Competition in Annaheim, CA, and won Top Secondary Studio! In layman’s words, as a studio whose students generally compete at the “Secondary” level in KAR’s adjudicated competition, Reflections earned the most Elite-level scores. We couldn’t me more proud of the work our dancers put in to accomplish this feat! This year’s contemporary speciality, Dysmorphia, choreographed by Miss Erica, also won Overall Top Group, ages 15-19. Congrats, girls!
